Allotment of Vacant Berths or Seats

ALLOTMENT OF VACANT BERTHS / SEATS

At stations where current reservation counter/booth is available, accommodation available is allotted to the passengers on the basis of first -come- first served.

The vacant accommodation available (after train has left the originating station) are allotted enroute in the following order.

  1. To the RAC passengers given sitting reservation in the coach.
  2. After givingpreference as above, remaining accommodation will be allottedstrictly on the basis of first-come-first served.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE

If a passenger having confirmed reservation on his ticket comes to a TTE/COR because his name does not appear in the chart, then the passenger should be allowed entry in the coach even if there is no room and as soon asroom is available this passenger will be given accommodation on top priority ignoring the RAC passengers. The matter should invariably be reported to concerned higher authorities of Railways.
