Hatia Station

Hatia Station, station code HTE, is the railway station serving the capital city of Ranchi in the Ranchi district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. Hatia Station belongs to the Ranchi division of the South Eastern Railway Zone of the Indian Railway. The Hatia railway station is connected to most of the major cities in India by the railway network. It is situated on Ranchi-Rourkela railway section.

        

Hatia is a terminal station for several trains. Several electrified as well as diesel local, M/E, SF, GR passenger trains also run from Hatia / Ranchi to different destinations of the country on frequent intervals.

Action plan for maintaining /improving cleanliness at stations

  1. The integrated mechanized cleaning is already in operation which includes rag picking between home signals in the tracks and platform lines.

  2. Attendance of contractual staff is done through biometric attendance system and frequent checks by inspecting officials are also done.

  3. Specific format for daily activity of station cleaning and surrounding as defined in the contract is being filled up daily by the agency jointly with CHI, CCI & SMR at Hatia. Penalties are defined in the contract and imposed on the score of this filled up form.

  4. In Compliance to Plastic and Solid Waste Management Rules-2016 at the stations including track within station limit (collection and segregation of biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste and their disposal etc.).

  5. Green rating of Hatia station as done at Guwahati station has been initiated.

  6. One bottle crushing machine has been installed at PF no. 1 at Hatia station.

  7. The plastic bags and cups are already banned at Hatia station.

  8. Regular monitoring is being done by inspecting officials.

  9. Provision for taking suggestion and grievance for eco-smart station HTE has been created on public webpage of SER (ecosmart.stn@ser.railnet.gov.in).

  10. The rodent control element of work is available at Hatia station.

11.Regular announcement at stations through Public Address system for public

awareness campaign.

  1. To achieve ISO 14001, estimate has been prepared.

  2. Effluent treatment plant and water recycling are sanctioned. Water recycling plant

    catering to Mechanized laundry Hatia is live and in operation.

  3. Joint team comprising of JE/P.Way & RPF inspector have been made to carryout

    joint inspections for public awareness to prevent open defection on track.

  4. No of encroachment along the track which are creating nuisance is nill.

  5. Already one pay & use toilet is situated in station building and entry circulating

    area.


Clarification on “Polluter Pays” Principle and “Municipal Solid Waste Rules, 2016”

“Polluter Pays” principle may be implemented in situations where any person is found indulged in throwing/dumping garbage, waste including C & D waste, channelizing effluent, any other activity on railway land leading to damage the environment and result in pollution ( air, water and soil etc.) in such a situation, the compensation may be collected up to Rs. 5000/- as directed by Hon’ble Tribunal vide order dt. 18.03.15. page2image47643056 page2image47643344 page2image47643632page2image47643920 page2image47644208 page2image47644496 page2image47644784page2image47645072
