SER OBSERVES 125th BIRTHDAY OF

BHARAT RATNA DR. B.R.AMBEDKAR

Kolkata, April 15, 2015 :

The 125thBirthday of Bharat Ratna Dr.B.R.Ambedkar was observed at S.E.Railway Headquarters, Garden Reach, this morning (15.4.2015).

Shri Radhey Shyam, General Manager, South Eastern Railway along with other Principal Head of Departments, senior officers and staff paid respectful homage to this illustrious son of India and the Father of Indian Constitution.In a simple and solemn ceremony, General Manager, Shri Radhey Shyam mentioned about the sacrifice of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar for the upliftment of the weaker and downtrodden section of the society. He also spoke about the role of Dr. Ambedkar in eradicating the social evils like untouchability and appealed to all to follow the path shown by the Bharat Ratna, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. Floral tributes were paid by the Addl.General Manager, Shri D Kamilla, Senior Officers and staff and representatives of various Associations.

Shri B J Rao, Zonal Secretary, All India SC & ST Association and Shri K. M. Prasad, General Secretary, OBC Association also spoke o­n the occasion.

Shri Manoj Pande, Chief Personnel Officer, South Eastern Railway proposed vote of thanks.
