SER HAS ALREADY DESPATCHED 4368 TONNES OF LIQUID MEDICAL OXYGEN TO DIFFERENT STATES
TATANAGAR SENDS 160 TONNES OF LIQUID MEDICAL OXYGEN IN A SINGLE TRAIN TO OKHLA TODAY
Kolkata, 16th May, 2021.
South Eastern Railway is taking all necessary measures to deliver as much Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) as possible in the shortest possible time to bring relief to the COVID affected patients in different states. With the relentless efforts of its employees, SER has so far run 70 Oxygen Express Trains despatching total 4368 tonnes of Oxygen to Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Telengana, Karnataka, Uttarakhand and Delhi.
Today, till evening four more Oxygen Express Trains started from SER's jurisdiction. The first train originated from Bokaro Steel City towards Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh) carrying 49.75 tonnes of LMO in 3 tankers. The second train moved from Rourkela to Faridabad (Haryana) with 68.24 tonnes LMO in 5 tankers. The third train started from Tatanagar on its way to Okhla( Delhi) with 160 tonnes of LMO in eight containers, which is highest volume of oxygen in a single rake from SER so far and the fourth one left Tatanagar towards Kanpur with 40 tonnes of oxygen in twocontainers.
South Eastern Railway is committed to run more Oxygen Express Trains as per the request of different states to meet the requirements of Medical Oxygen.
