MEMBER TRAFFIC, RAILWAY BOARD VISITS SER HEADQUARTERS AND REVIEWS THE PERFORMANCE OF OPERATING AND COMMERCIAL DEPARTMENT OF SER, ER & METRO RAILWAY AND INSPECTS ONGOING WORKS OF COACHING TERMINAL AT SHALIMAR & SANTRAGACHI AND SANKRAIL GOODS TERMINAL YARD
Kolkata, 14thJune, 2019:
Sri Girish Pillai, Member Traffic, Railway Board visited S E Railway Headquarters, Garden Reach today (14/6/2019) and held a high level meeting with Sri P.S.Mishra, General Manager, South Eastern Railway & Eastern Railway.Chief Operations Manager and other senior Traffic officers were present in this meeting. Sri Pillai reviewed the performance of South Eastern, Eastern and Metro Railway.
Sri Pillai reviewed all the aspects of railway working specially running of trains and laid special emphasis on safety, punctuality, freight loading and earnings.
Earlier Sri P.S. Mishra, GM/SER apprised Member Traffic, Railway Board about the achievements and key activities of SER in the year 2018-19 and target for the year 2019-20. General Manager also mentioned about the planning and progress of SER on originating freight & passenger earnings and infrastructural development projects.
Member Traffic, Railway Board expressed satisfaction about the all round performance of SER and stressed upon the timely completion of development works.
Later Sri Girish Pillai visited Shalimar-Santragachi Section and inspected the ongoing developmental works and its progress at these upcoming major terminals. He also visited Sankrail Goods Terminal Yard and inspected the different ongoing works to develop infrastructural facilities for goods traffic.
