SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY OBSERVES RASHTRIYA EKTA DIWAS
Kolkata, 31st October, 2023:
South Eastern Railway observed Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) at its Headquarters, Garden Reach on 31.10.2023 to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Shri Anil Kumar Mishra, General Manager, South Eastern Railway took salute at the ceremonial parade presented by the contingents of Railway Protection Force (RPF), Civil Defence and SER Bharat Scouts & Guides. General Manager also administered Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge to officers and staff. Smt. Mahua Verma, Principal Chief Personnel Officer, S E Railway and other Senior officers were present during the occasion. Officers and staff of SER took pledge to dedicate themselves to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the Nation and also to strive hard to spread this message among the fellow countrymen.
Shri Anil Kumar Mishra, General Manager, SER flagged off a Motor Cycle Rally organised by RPF Personnel to mark the occasion. He also flagged off a “Run for Unity” organised at SER Headquarters, Garden Reach to spread the message of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. Principal Head of the Departments and others officers, a large number of Security Personnel, Sports Persons of SER and members of Bharat Scouts and Guides took part in the Run for Unity.
Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was also observed at all the four Divisions of South Eastern Railway viz. Kharagpur, Adra, Chakradharpur and Ranchi.
