SECOND AMRIT KALASH YATRA SPECIAL TRAIN FLAGGED OFF FROM RANCHI STATION TODAY
Kolkata, 29th October, 2023:
On the occasion of the Amrit Mahotsav celebrations of India's Independence, the Central Government has undertaken the campaign 'Meri Mati Mera Desh'.
As a part of ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign, South Eastern Railway arranged the second Amrit Kalash Yatra Special train from Ranchi Station today (29th October, 2023). The Special train carried around 400 delegates with Amrit Kalash containing sacred soil from Jharkhand. The train was flagged off from Ranchi Railway Station.
Shri Arjun Munda, Hon'ble Minister of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India was the Chief Guest and flagged off the train. Shri Sanjay Seth, Hon'ble MP, Shri Aditya Prasad, Hon'ble MP, Shri C. P. Singh, Hon'ble MLA, Shri Navin Jaiswal, Hon'ble MLA and and Shri Babulal Marandi (Ex CM of Jharkhand & Leader of the Opposition in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly) were also present and flagged off the train from Ranchi Railway Station. Senior Railway officers were also present during the programme.
First Amrit Kalash Yatra Special Train was flagged on 28.10.2023 from Ranchi station. Shri Sanjay Seth Hon’ble MP flagged off this train. The Special train carried 507 delegates with Amrit Kalash containing sacred soil from Jharkhand.
The Special trains from Ranchi will reach New Delhi and after that the delegates will join the 'Amrit Kalash Yatris' from other states and Union Territories to participate in a two-day programme at Kartavya Path and Vijay Chowk on 30-31 October, 2023.
