APPOINTMENT LETTERS HANDED OVER TO NEWLY INDUCTED RECRUITS

AT KHARAGPUR AND RANCHI DURING ROZGAR MELA

 

Kolkata, 28th October, 2023

 

The Rozgar Mela is a step towards fulfillment of the commitment of the Prime Minister to accord the highest priority to employment generation. The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi addressed the Rozgar Mela via video conferencing today (28.10.2023). More than 51,000 appointment letters are being distributed nationwide to the newly inducted recruits in various Government departments and organizations. Out of 37 locations throughout the country, Rozgar Mela was held at Kharagpur and Ranchi under South Eastern Railway jurisdiction. Addressing the gathering through video conferencing, the Prime Minister greeted the nation. He congratulated the candidates and their families for getting the appointment letter.

In the Rozgar Mela held at Kharagpur, total 159 Appointment letters were handed over to the newly inducted recruits for different posts in various Ministries and Departments including Railways, Postal, FCI, Home Affairs, Health etc.  Shri Dilip Ghosh, Hon’ble MPwas the Chief Guest for the event. Shri K.R. Chaudhary, Divisional Railway Manager, Kharagpur and others dignitaries were also present o­n the occasion.

In the Rozgar Mela held at Ranchi, Shri Arjun Munda, Hon’ble Minister of Tribal Affairs, Government of India was the Chief Guest, Shri Sanjay Seth, Hon’ble MP, Shri Sudarshan Bhagat, Hon’ble MP, Shri C.P.Singh, Hon’ble MLA, Shri Samri Lal, Hon’ble MLA & Shri J.S. Bindra, Divisional Railway Manager, Ranchi were also present o­n the occasion. Total 144 appointment letters were handed over to newly inducted recruits at Ranchi in different Ministries and Departments like Railways, Bank, Defence, Postal, FCI, Education, Telecom, Central Ground Water, AIIMS, Home Affairs etc.

The new recruits selected from across the country will join various positions/posts under Government of India such as Train Manager, Station Master, Accounts Clerk, Track Maintainer, Junior Engineers, Technicians, Personal Assistant, Stenographer, Junior Secretariat Assistant, Junior Passport Assistant, Tax Assistant, MTS, Postal Assistant, among others. The Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development.
