RAILWAY MINISTER SANCTIONS Rs. 155 LAKH
FOR DEVELOPMENT OF BAHANAGA BAZAR AND BALASORE AREA
Kolkata, 6th July, 2023:
Sri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Hon’ble Railway Minister during his visit at Bahanaga Bazar and Balasore on 20.06.2023, met the local people, villagers, members of NGOs, doctors etc. who were the first responders at the accident site. He appreciated their effort to save the lives of many passengers. Local residents interacted with Hon’ble Minister and raised certain demands for the area. Hon’ble MR fulfilled his promise within just two weeks. Works like two High masts with floodlight have already been installed and made functional for proper lighting of the area. To improve the drainage system, installation of new Hume pipes is going on in full swing. Trenching has already been done, materials are available at the site and work will be completed very soon. Level crossing gate has been made functional for public. Hon’ble MR had given emphasis on fast-track completion of these works.
Sri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Hon’ble Railway Minister has sanctioned a major fund of Rs. 155 lakh from MPLAD Scheme for various developmental works of the area.
Rs. 1 crore has been sanctioned for various developmental works including construction of 5 Community Centres and Halls with provision of toilet & cold drinking water with RO at Bahanaga Bazar and nearby villages, construction of Children Park & Gym near Basuli High School, strengthening of Road from NH-16 to Level Crossing No. 95, repairing of Sartira Village Road at Sathi, improvement of Pranabandhu Bidyapitha School playground, provision of 42 Nos. Solar Street Lights etc. For prompt medical assistance to patients, he has also sanctioned Rs. 35 lakh for Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance for District Headquarters Hospital, Balasore. Moreover, Rs. 20 Lakh has been sanctioned for one Modular Operation Theatre at Balasore Lions Eye Hospital.
With special initiatives and constant supervision by Hon’ble MR, the above projects will be executed soon.
