REVIEW MEETING OF MINISTER FOR RAILWAYS WITH ZONAL RAILWAYS
Kolkata, 22nd June, 2023:
Sri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister for Railways, Communications, Electronics & Information Technology, Govt. of India held a high level review meeting with Zonal Railways at Kolkata on 21.06.2023 and discussed regarding Key Performance Indicator.
Minister for Railways laid emphasis on safety and infrastructural development works.
Safety progress work viz. Level Crossing Elimination, Track Renewal, Electronic Interlocking commissioning, Wagon Examination etc. were also discussed in details in the meeting.
Infrastructural works & Traffic facilities works like doubling, tripling, Foot Over Bridge, Road Over Bridge, Platform Raising, Lifts, Escalators etc. were discussed in detail with respect of targets.
Similarly, passenger safety like CCTV, Bag Scanner, RPF escorts etc. were discussed. Loading, earnings and other aspects were also discussed in details with respect to targets.
