APPOINTMENT LETTERS HANDED OVER  TO NEWLY INDUCTED RECRUITS

AT KHARAGPUR AND RANCHI DURING ROZGAR MELA

Kolkata, 13th April, 2023

The Rozgar Mela is a step towards fulfillment of the commitment of the Prime Minister to accord the highest priority to employment generation. The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi addressed the National Rozgar Mela via video conferencing today (13.04.2023). He distributed about 71,000 appointment letters at 45 locations nationwide to the newly inducted recruits in various Government departments and organizations. Rozgar Mela was held at Kharagpur and Ranchi under South Eastern Railway jurisdiction. Addressing the gathering through video conferencing, the Prime Minister greeted the nation o­n the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi. He congratulated the candidates and their families for getting the appointment letter.

In the Rozgar Mela held at Kharagpur, total 212 Appointment letters were handed over to the newly inducted recruits for different posts in various Ministries and Departments including Railways, Postal, Bank, AIIMS, IIT etc.  Dr. Subhas Sarkar, Minister of State for Education, Govt. of India was the Chief Guest for the event. Shri Dilip Ghosh, MP, Mr. M.S. Hashmi, Divisional Railway Manager, Kharagpur, and Prof. V.K.Tewari Director, IIT, Kharagpur were also present o­n the occasion.

In the Rozgar Mela held at Ranchi, Shri Arjun Munda, Minister of Tribal Affairs, Government of India was the Chief Guest. Shri Deepak Prakash, MP, Shri C.P. Singh MLA, Shri Samri Lal, MLA &  Shri Pradeep Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager, Ranchi were also present o­n the occasion. Total 272 appointment letters were handed over to newly inducted recruits at Ranchi in different Ministries and Departments like Railways, Bank, Defence, Postal, GSI, Education, ESIC etc. Shri Pradeep Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager, Ranchi welcomed the distinguished guests and the new appointees o­n the occasion.

The new recruits selected from across the country will join various positions/posts under Government of India such as Train Manager, Station Master, Sr. commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Inspector, Sub Inspectors, Constable, Stenographer, Junior Accountant, Postal Assistant, Income Tax Inspector, Tax Assistant, Sr Draughtsman, JE/Supervisor, Assistant Professor, Teacher, Librarian, Nurse, Probationary Officers, PA, MTS, among others. The Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development
