INTRODUCTION OF SAMBALPUR-SHALIMAR-SAMBALPUR
TRI-WEEKLY SUPERFAST EXPRESS
Kolkata, 28th December, 2022:
It has been decided to introduce a Tri-Weekly Superfast Express Train between Sambalpur-Shalimar-Sambalpur (Train No. 20832/20831) w.e.f 03.01.2023 from Sambalpur and w.e.f 04.01.2023 from Shalimar.
Inaugural run of the train from Sambalpur to Shalimar will be flagged off by Sri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Hon’ble Minister for Railways, Communications, Electronics & Information Technology, Govt. of India from Bhubaneswar on 29.12.2022.
20832 Sambalpur-Shalimar Express will leave Sambalpur every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 19.10 hrs and will reach Shalimar at 07.20 hrs, the next day. In the return direction, 20831 Shalimar-Sambalpur Express will depart Shalimar every Wednesday, Friday and Monday at 21.25 hrs and will reach Sambalpur at 08.35 hrs, the next day.
The train with one AC 2 Tier, five AC 3 Tier, nine Sleeper Class and five General Second Class coaches will have stoppages at Rairakhol, Boinda, Angul, Talcher, Dhenkanal, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Balasore, Kharagpur and Santragachi Stations enroute.
