CLEFT LIP AND PALATE SURGERY CAMP INAUGURATED
AT SER CENTRAL HOSPITAL, GARDEN REACH
Kolkata, 30thNovember,2022:
A Cleft Lip & Palate Surgery Camp was inaugurated at Central Hospital, South Eastern Railway, Garden Reach on 30.11.2022 in presence of Ms. Archana Joshi, General Manager, South Eastern Railway, Sri Atulya Sinha, Additional General Manager, Dr. Mihir Kumar Choudhury, Principal Chief Medical Director, other senior railway officers and renowned doctors. The Campwill offer free of cost cleft lip and cleft palate corrective surgeries to the children and young adults of West Bengal. The Surgery Camp is being coordinatedby Dr. Anjana Malhotra, Medical Director and renowned Plastic Surgeon, SER Central Hospital, Garden Reach. The Camp will continue upto 3rdDecember, 2022.
S E Railway Central Hospital, Garden Reach in collaboration with “Mission Smile” and “Muthoot Pappachan Foundation” is hosting this mission for the 6thtime as a part of CSR activity. “Mission Smile”, a Medical Charitable Trust is providing free, life-changing surgeries to the children born with cleft lip, cleft palate and other deformities. The four-day comprehensive Surgical camp will provide more than 50 cleft lip surgeries through a team of medical experts from the field of Plastic Surgery, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Anaesthesiology, Paediatrics, Dentistry, Speech Language Pathology and Nursing across the globe.
Ms. Archana Joshi, General Manager, S E Railway during the inaugural ceremony appreciated the initiative of “Mission Smile” for organising this camp in collaboration with SER Central Hospital. She welcomed the team of doctors coming from all over the country and abroad and thanked them for their contribution. General Manager assured that all possible help and support from South Eastern Railway will be provided in future also for such noble mission.
