GENERAL MANAGER, SER RELEASES VIGILANCE BULLETIN “MARYADA” DURING OBSERVANCE OF VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK

Kolkata, 2nd November, 2022:

Ms. Archana Joshi, General Manager, South Eastern Railway released the Vigilance Bulletin “Maryada” o­n 02-11-2022 during a programme held at Kalamandir Auditorium, Kolkata as a part of observance of Vigilance Awareness Week . General Manager in her speech mentioned that this initiative will help to create awareness and sensitize employees against corruption. She stressed o­n professional integrity and preventive vigilance to bring transparency and good governance. Sri Suvomoy Mitra, Commissioner of Railway Safety, Eastern Circle, Sri Vijay Kumar Panjiar, Senior Deputy General Manager & Chief Vigilance Officer, S E Railway and other Senior Railway Officers were also present o­n the occasion.

South Eastern Railway is observing Vigilance Awareness Week from 31-10-2022 to 06-11-2022 at its headquarters and all four divisions viz. Adra, Kharagpur, Chakradharpur and Ranchi. The theme of the Vigilance Awareness Week 2022 is “Corruption Free India, for a Developed Nation”. As per the directives of Railway Board, SER is organizing various outreach programmes to raise awareness about corrupt activities and its prevention. In connection with this, a drama, “Taj Mahal Ka Tender” was staged at Kalamandir Auditorium, Kolkata o­n 02-11-2022.  The drama, based o­n bureaucratic red-tapism and the sad state of officialdom is a production of National School of Drama, New Delhi.  

The programme was jointly organized by the Vigilance Branch and Personnel Branch of South Eastern Railway.
