SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY OBSERVES RASHTRIYA EKTA DIWAS
Kolkata, 31st October, 2021:
South Eastern Railway observed Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) at its Headquarters, Garden Reach this morning (31.10.2021) to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Ms. Archana Joshi, General Manager, South Eastern Railway took salute at the ceremonial parade presented by Railway Protection Force (RPF) Contingent and administered Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge to officers and staff. S E Railway officers and staff took pledge to dedicate themselves to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and also to strive hard to spread this message among the fellow countrymen.
Ms. Archana Joshi, General Manager, SER flagged off a Motor Cycle Rally organised by RPF Personnel to mark the occasion. She also flagged off a “Run for Unity” organised at SER Headquarters, Garden Reach this morning to spread message of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. A large number of Security Personnel, Sports Persons of SER and members of Bharat Scouts and Guides took part in the Run for Unity.
Sri Atulya Sinha, Additional General Manager, Sri D B Kasar, IG-cum-Principal Chief Security Commissioner, Smt. Zarina Firdausi, Principal Chief Personnel Officer and other officers and staff were present on the occasion.
Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was also observed at all the four Divisions of South Eastern Railway viz. Kharagpur, Adra, Chakradharpur and Ranchi.
