SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY OBSERVES VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK
Kolkata, 26th October, 2021:
Ms. Archana Joshi, General Manager, South Eastern Railway administered Integrity Pledge to officers and staff of SER Headquarters, this morning (26.10.21) as a part of observance of Vigilance Awareness Week being observed from 26th October to 1stNovember, 2021. This year the theme of Vigilance Awareness Week is “Independent India @ 75: Self Reliance with Integrity”.
Shri Atulya Sinha, Additional General Manager, Sri Vijay Kumar Panjiar, Senior Deputy General Manager & Chief Vigilance Officer, S E Railway and other Principal Head of Departments along with officers and staff attended the oath taking ceremony.
S E Railway officials took pledge to follow probity and rule of law in all walks of life; to neither take nor offer bribe; to perform all tasks in an honest and transparent manner; to act in public interest; to lead by example exhibiting integrity in personal behaviour and to report any incident of corruption to the appropriate agency. The objective of observance of Vigilance Awareness Week is to promote transparency, integrity and accountability as well as to create increased awareness amongst the railway employees, public and stake holders to participate in the fight against corruption.
As a part of Vigilance Awareness Week, a Karmchari Darshan Shivir (Grievance Redressal Camp) was organised at S.E.Railway HQ Auditorium, Garden Reachtoday where the service related grievances of serving as well as retired employees were registered by a Special Committee to follow up the cases with respective departments for early redressal of the same.
During the Vigilance Awareness Week, different programmes like Seminar, Workshop, Vendors Meet, Customers Grievance Camp, Webinar, Skit Play, Walkathon, Essay Competition, Quiz Competition etc will be organised over S E Railway. Vigilance Awareness Week is also being observed in four divisions of SER viz. Kharagpur, Adra, Ranchi and Chakradharpur.
