VACCINATION OF VISUALLY IMPAIRED AND PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED PERSONS (DIVYANGJAN) AT SER CENTRAL HOSPITAL
Kolkata, 3rd September, 2021:
South Eastern Railway Central Hospital, Garden Reach as a part of its social welfare activities, organized a vaccination camp for visually impaired and physically challenged persons (Divyangjan) in collaboration with Swarnym Foundation and Rotary Club, Garden Reach today (03/9/2021).
A total of 51 Divyangjan from Kolkata and Howrah area have been administered with COVID-19 vaccine. As a goodwill gesture, the vaccinated persons have been provided with lunch at BNR Officers’ Club. Vaccination certificate has also been handed over to the vaccinated persons. All the vaccinated persons expressed their happiness and gratitude for organising such camp and the hospitality provided by the South Eastern Railway.
This programme was organised under the able guidance of Dr. M K Chowdhury, Principal Chief Medical Director, South Eastern Railway. Dr. B N Jha, Addl. Chief Health Director, Cardiology, Central Hospital, South Eastern Railway, Garden Reach played a pivotal role for success of the vaccination programme. South Eastern Railway will organise similar vaccination camps in coming days also to fulfil its social responsibilities.
