SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY DESPATCHED MORE THAN 2300MT OF LIQUID MEDICAL OXYGEN (LMO) TO THE STATE OF UTTAR PRADESH

 

Kolkata, 5th June, 2021

 

South Eastern Railway despatched 41 numbers of Oxygen Express Trains containing 2302 MT of LMO to the State of Uttar Pradesh and it is the highest despatch of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) to the State. The second state is Tamilnadu where a volume of more than 2269 MT of LMO has been despatched. And Andhra Pradesh is the third in the list getting 1961 MT of LMO so far among the 12 States where SER is sending Oxygen in this crisis time. The other LMO dispatched States are followed by Karnataka, Telangana, Delhi, Hariyana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Assam, Kerala and Punjab.

 

South Eastern Railway has got three LMO loading points under its jurisdiction viz, Tatanagar, Bokaro and Rourkela and till noon of 05.06.2021, a volume of 6527 MT, 2090 MT and 5358 MT of Liquid Medical Oxygen(LMO) has been despatched respectively towards different corners of the State mentioned above.

 

Concerning the second wave of deadly covid 19 and present crisis of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO), South Eastern Railway and its management team has taken the challenge of Oxygen Movement o­n top priority which is also monitored at Apex level so that Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) may reach at its destinations with minimum possible time for the treatment of covid affected persons.
