SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY CATERS TO 12 DIFFERENT STATES BY TRANSPORTING LIQUID MEDICAL OXYGEN

 

 

Kolkata, 2nd June, 2021

 

South Eastern Railway has already moved 180 Oxygen Express Trains with total 12912 tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) to 12 different states and Union Territories for treatment of Covid affected patients.

 

Till noon of 02.06.2021, South Eastern Railway has despatched to LMO in three main loading points under SER’s jurisdiction, Tatanagar has despatched 6207 MT, Rourkela 4614 MT and Bokaro 2089 MT of LMO.

 

Today, 2 Oxygen Express Trains have originated from SER jurisdiction. o­ne train left Rourkela for Guntur, Andhra Pradesh with 83.45 tonnes of LMO while another train left Tatanagar for Sanatnagar, Telangana with 120 tonnes of LMO.

 

South Eastern Railway is moving the Oxygen Express Trains since 23rd April, 2021. These trains have moved towards Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Tamilnadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Kelara, Uttarakhand and Delhi.

 

In this process, swift loading and hassle free movement of the tankers and containers have been monitored by SER authority with top priority.
