SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY RUNS MORE THAN 150 OXYGEN EXPRESS WITH LIQUID MEDICAL OXYGEN (LMO)
Kolkata, 28th May, 2021.
South Eastern Railway is continuing to despatch Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) to bring relief to the patient at various parts of the country. Till today (28.05.2021) noon, South Eastern Railways has despatched 153 Oxygen Express in 701 containers/trucks, containing 11677.5 Tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen as per requirement of various States.
So far from South Eastern Railway, Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) has been sent to the 12 States and Union Territories which include Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka., Assam, Haryana, Telengana, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Kerala, Delhi and Punjab.
In order to ensure that Oxygen relief reaches in the fastest time possible, Railways is creating new standards and unprecedented benchmarks in running of Oxygen Express Freight Trains. These Trains are running on high priority through Green Corridor, with a highest sense of urgency. Operational teams of the zone are working round the clock in most challenging circumstances to ensure that Oxygen reaches in fastest possible time frame whatever be the weather condition.
