SER DESPATCHED 1080 TONNES OF LIQUID MEDICAL OXYGEN o­n 25TH MAY WHICH IS HIGHEST EVER IN A SINGLE DAY

 

Kolkata, 26th May, 2021

 

South Eastern Railway has been continuously moving Oxygen Express to bring relief to the COVID affected patients. Yesterday (25.05.2021) SER achieved the highest despatch of more than 1080tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen(LMO) from its jurisdiction. Altogether, 15 Oxygen Express Trains originated from Bokaro Steel City, Rourkela and Tatanagar yesterday to carry 1080.74tonnes of LMO towards different parts of the country.

 

Starting from 23rd April, SER has so far run 142 Oxygen Express Trains despatching total 9753 tonnes of LMO to 12 states and Union Territories. These Oxygen Express trains have moved towards Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Assam and Delhi.

 

This has been made possible due to the untiring efforts of SER employees who have been working round the clock even in inclement weather to ensure fastest transportation of Oxygen Express Trains.
