SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY GEARS UP TO RUN OXYGEN EXPRESS TRAINS DURING ALL WEATHER CONDITION

 

Kolkata, 25thMay, 2021

 

South Eastern Railway has taken up an extraordinary challenging task of running of Oxygen Express Trains especially during the situation of cyclonic weather in and around Odisha Coastal and Chota Nagpur Plateau. The supply chain of Oxygen is to be maintained continuously to the different States of the country during this unprecedented situation.

 

SER has already moved altogether 130 Oxygen Express Trains till noon of 25.05.2021 carrying a total 8971tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) as per the request of different States. The Oxygen Express Trains originating from Tatanagar, Bokaro Steel City and Rourkela in SER jurisdiction have reached different important places in 12 States and Union Territories. So far the lifesaving LMO has been dispatched for the Covid affected patients in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala Delhi and Assam.

 

SER employees are working relentlessly even in this inclement weather to ensure seamless transportation of Oxygen Express Trains.
