SER MOVING OXYGEN EXPRESS TO SIX STATES AND UNION TERRITORY OF THIS COUNTRY

 

Kolkata, 12th May, 2021.

South Eastern Railway is plying Oxygen Express to 6 states, where Indian Railways supplying oxygen through Oxygen Express. o­n date for the first time another Oxygen Express Train left for Kanpur from Tatanagar with 40 tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen. The train left Tatanagar today’s morning (12.05.2021). In addition to above it has also been planned to load another set of 20ft. containers for Hyderabad. The transportation of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) has become a top priority of South Eastern Railway and monitoring is being done at apex level. Taking the movement of Oxygen Express as a challenge, all the divisions has been advised to take all out endeavour to deliver as much LMO as possible in the shortest time possible to the destination by creating a green corridor for interrupted passage all the time.

Till now, South Eastern Railway has run 45 Oxygen Express Trains with 2580 tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) in 114 tankers and 86 Containers, across the country to combat the deadly second wave of corona virus. From SER’s jurisdiction, 23 trains have been sent towards Uttar Pradesh, 10 trains towards Madhya Pradesh, 6 trains towards Haryana, 4 trains towards Delhi and o­ne each for Karnataka & Uttarkhand. These trains have originated from Bokaro, Rourkela and Tatanagar stations of this railway.
