SER ACCOMMODATING MORE OXYGEN EXPRESS TRAINS

AS PER THE NEED OF THE COUNTRY

 

Kolkata, 28th April, 2021:

 

 

During the second wave of the pandemic, South Eastern Railway is continuously taking initiative for transportation of Liquid Medical Oxygen towards different parts of the country. The fifth Oxygen Express Train of South Eastern Railway left Bokaro Steel City yesterday evening o­n its way to Lucknow carrying Liquid Medical Oxygen in 3 tankers.

 

Running of Oxygen Express Trains by SER started o­n 23rd April, 2021. So far, four Oxygen Express Trains have been run from Bokaro Steel City to Lucknow and o­ne Oxygen Express Train from Bokaro Steel City to Bhopal/Jabalpur/Sagar delivering total 255 tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen.

 

Another Oxygen Express Train with 5 empty tankers has already arrived Bokaro Steel City from Lucknow and loading of Liquid Medical Oxygen is under process at Bokaro Steel Plant. o­ne more empty rake with tankers has also left Lucknow for Bokaro Steel City.

The employees of South Eastern Railway at Bokaro Steel City station are working o­n war footing to facilitate fast transportation of the life saving gas. The movement of the Oxygen Express Trains is being monitored round the clock at apex level to ensure timely transportation of Oxygen for the Covid affected patients at the destinations.
