SER’S PARCEL EXPRESS TRAINS PICK UP MOMENTUM

Kolkata, 11th April, 2020:

South Eastern Railway has recently introduced new set of Time Tabled Parcel Express Trains in 5 different routes to ensure uninterrupted supply of essential commodities during the nationwide lockdown. These Parcel Express Trains are running in different directions covering Eastern, Western, Southern and Central parts of the country to keep the supply chain steady.

These Parcel Express Trains are connecting Howrah/Shalimar with Ranchi, Mumbai, Porbander and Yesvantpur. Apart from this, o­ne Parcel Express Train is also running between Tatanagar and Itwari.

The above Parcel Express Trains also cater the needs of the people residing around Kharagpur, Purulia, Balasore, Rourkela, Chakradharpur, and other stations under SER’s jurisdiction in addition to major cities enroute.

The essential commodities transported by these Parcel Express Trains include vegetables, medicines, grocery items, different kind of fruits, fish etc.

Apart from the above, some of the Parcel Express Trains announced earlier are still plying between major cities with essential commodities which have been of immense benefit to the people of different parts of the country including North Eastern part.
