SER’S MEDICAL DEPARTMENT ORGANISES 39TH ANNUAL CONTINUING
MEDICAL EDUCATION PROGRAMME
Kolkata, 8th June, 2019:
Indian Railway Medical Service Association of South Eastern Railway organized 39th Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Prorgamme with the theme “Preventive to Curative Healthcare - a complete spectrum” at SER Headquarters, Garden Reach today (08.06.19).
Dr. Pradip Mitra, Director, Medical Education, Govt. of West Bengal was theChief Guest while Shri Anupam Sharma, Addl. General Manager, S E Railway presided over the function. Dr.R.K.Pani, Principal Chief Medical Director, S E Railway, Dr. Rupa Mitra, Medical Director, S E Railway Central Hospital, Garden Reach and other distinguished guest doctors attended the programme.
Dr. Pradip Mitra, Director, Medical Education, Govt. of West Bengal while inaugurating the programme said that Doctors in Indian Railways have been providing quality health care services to the railway people. He mentioned that from the early days railway hospitals are more advanced with rich knowledge and equipments. During his address he highlighted the different aspects covered in this educational programme and added that organising such conferences help in enrichment of knowledge of the medical professionals for application in future.
Shri Anupam Sharma, Addl. General Manager, S E Railway while addressing on the occasion mentioned about the commitment of Railway Doctors to provide highest quality of medical care even in the remote corners of Railway network. He added that Railway Doctors are taking every possible step to ensure that all employees get necessary medical assistance.
Dr. R.K.Pani, Principal Chief Medical Director, S E Railway while speaking at the conference said that such Educational Programmes help in sharing of knowledge about the recent advances in Medical Science to provide better Health Care services to the patients.
As many as 120 delegate doctors from South Eastern, Eastern and Metro Railways took part in the programme. Earlier Dr. Rupa Mitra, Medical Director, S E Railway Central Hospital welcomed the distinguished guests on the occasion.
