SER CELEBRATES 64th  RAILWAY WEEK

Kolkata, 23rd April, 2019:

South Eastern Railway celebrated the 64th Railway Week at Kolkata this afternoon (23-4-2019) with great enthusiasm and gaiety.

Sri P S Mishra, General Manager, South Eastern Railway graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Shri Anupam Sharma, Addl. General Manager, SER along with all Principal Head of Departments attended the function. Divisional Railway Managers of Kharagpur, Adra, Chakradharpur & Ranchi and the representatives of different Associations/Unionsincluding a large number of staff and officers were also present o­n the occasion.

As many as 134 selected railway staff & officers including Group Awardees were felicitated  in recognition of their outstanding services and devotion to duty during the year 2018-19. The Overall Efficiency Shield was awardedjointly to Kharagpur and Chakradharpur Divisionsfor the best all round performance. Efficiency Shields in 28 other categories were awarded to different divisions, workshops and stations. Digha station of Kharagpur Division has been adjudged as the Best Kept Station.

Sri P S Mishra, General Manager while addressing the gathering mentioned about S E Railway’s contribution towards the growth of Indian Railways and complimented the railway employees for their sincere efforts and commendable performance. He stressed to make all out efforts to get the satisfaction of passengers and freight customers. He also appreciated the cooperation extended by the different associations and trade unions.  

A colourful cultural programme was also organised by the cultural team of Divisions & Headquarters of SER o­n this occasion.
