INCREASE IN FREQUENCY OF PURULIA – VILLUPURAM EXPRESS

FROM WEEKLY TO BI-WEEKLY


Kolkata 5th March, 2019

 

For convenience of passengers, it has been decided to increase the frequency of 22605/22606 Purulia–Villupuram Express from existing Weekly service to Bi-weekly service which will be effective from 06.03.19 ex Villupuram and 08.03.19 ex Purulia.

 

22605 Purulia–Villupuram Express will now run from Purulia every Monday and Friday. In the return direction, 22606 Villupuram-Purulia Express will run from Villupuram every Wednesday and Saturday.

 

Consequent upon the above frequency increase, the train number 22603 Kharagpur–Villupuram Express will now run from Kharagpur every Thursday and in the return direction, 22604 Villupuram-Kharagpur Express will run from Villupuram every Tuesday w.e.f 06.3.19.

 

The 22606/22605 Villupuram – Purulia Express leaving Villupuram and Purulia o­n every Wednesday and Friday respectively will bypass Kharagpur and will run via Hijli with stoppage at Hijli instead of Kharagpur as usual.
