MASSIVE TICKET CHECKING DRIVE BY SER
Kolkata, 19th March, 2013:-
South Eastern Railway conducted a special ticket checking drive at Panskura, Mecheda, Bagnan, Santragachi, Uluberia and Howrah (South) of Kharagpur Division from 4th March to 9th March, 2013.
During this massive checking ticket drive in the suburban section of SER , 470 passengers were detected travelling either without ticket or irregular tickets and an amount of Rs.1,54,902/-(Rupees one lakh fifty four thousand nine hundred and two) was realised from them as fine.
During the period, 1079 unbooked luggage cases were also detected by the officers and staff of Commercial Department and an amount of Rs. 66,146/-(Rupees Sixty six thousand one hundred and forty six) was collected as fine.
