GENERAL MANAGER/S E RAILWAY INSPECTS HOWRAH-MUMBAI DURONTO EXPRESS AS A PART OF OBSERVANCE OF SWACHHTA PAKHWADA

Shri S.N.Agrawal, General Manager, South Eastern Railway inspected the overall cleanliness of 12262 Howrah-Mumbai Duronto Express before departure of the train from Howrah Station at 08:20 hours today morning. General Manager also inspected the different passenger amenity features of Howrah-Mumbai Duronto Express. Shri J.K.Saha, Chief Mechanical Engineer and other senior officers of S. E. Railway were present during the inspection.
Indian Railways is observing Swachhta Pakhwada through out the country from 16th to 31st August, 2017 and today’s (21.8.2017) theme was Swachh Railgaadi (Clean Train). General Manager’s inspection of Howrah-Mumbai Duronto Express was organized as a part of observance of Swachhta Pakhwada.
General Manager visited different coaches of the Howrah-Mumbai Duronto Express as well as toilets and inspected the berths, flooring, charging facilities, pest control measures etc. He also visited the pantry car and thoroughly inspected the food items to be supplied to the passengers. While expressing his satisfaction about overall cleanliness of the train, General Manager suggested measures for further improvement of different passenger amenities.
General Manager, Shri Agrawal also interacted with passengers of the train and sought their valuable opinion regarding the different services. The suggestions of the passenger were noted for examination and implementation.
