SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY OBSERVES

11TH INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA

Kolkata, 21st June, 2025

South Eastern Railway observed the 11th International Day of Yoga-2025 with great enthusiasm o­n 21.06.2025. The theme of this year’s International Day of Yoga is “Yoga for o­ne Earth, o­ne Health”.

Shri Anil Kumar Mishra, General Manager, South Eastern Railway was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the Yoga Session by lighting the lamp at the Officers’ Club, SER Headquarters, Garden Reach. Shri Soumitra Majumdar, Additional General Manager, PHODs and other Senior Officers were also present. Yoga sessions were organised at SER Headquarters wherein expert Yoga Instructors from “The Art of Living, Kolkata Centre” led the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) performed by the Officers and staff.

Yoga reduces stress and anxiety though mindful breathing and meditation. Improves flexibility and strength, keeping the body fit and agile.

Live streaming of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s address o­n the occasion of International Day of Yoga was organized before the Yoga Session.

The International Day of Yoga was also observed in all the four divisions of SER viz. Kharagpur, Adra, Chakradharpur and Ranchi.
