TRAIN SERVICES PARTIALLY AFFECTED DUE TO PUBLIC AGITATION BETWEEN
DEULTI AND KOLAGHAT STATIONS OF KHARAGPUR DIVISION

Train services of South Eastern Railway were affected due to public agitation between Deulti and Kolaghat stations of Kharagpur Division from 10.00 hrs on 23.02.2025. Some Mail/Express and EMU trains were affected due to the agitation. Later the agitation was withdrawn at 12.45 hrs.
Protesters have blocked all three railway lines, demanding the reopening of the trespassing location at KM52/17 between Deulti and Kolaghat stations. This location was closed by the railway authority to ensure the safety of local people, given the high-speed trains passing at 130 kmph. There is also availability of alternative crossing options nearby. Railways have requested the civil authority to cooperate and help regarding closing of unauthorised trespassing for public safety.
