HON’BLE PRESIDENT TO LAY FOUNDATION STONES

FOR 3 NEW RAIL LINES OF SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY

 

Kolkata, 6thDecember, 2024

 

Smt. Droupadi Murmu, Hon’ble President of India will lay foundation stones for New Lines between Badampahar-Kendujhargarh, Bangriposi-Gorumahisani and Buramara-Chakulia from Bangriposi, Odisha o­n 07.12.2024.

 

Badampahar-Kendujhargarh new Rail line :

This new line project of 82 Km will cover the Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts of Odisha. The line will be constructed at a cost of 2106 crores.

 

Bangriposi-Gorumahisani new Rail line :

This new line project of 86 Km will cover the Mayurbhanj district of Odisha. The line will be constructed at a cost of 2549 crores.

 

Buramara-Chakulia new Rail line :

This new line project of 60 Km will cover the Mayurbhanj district of Odisha and East Singhbhum District of Jharkhand. The line will be constructed at a cost of 1639 crores.

 

The local residents who are deprived of rail communication, will now be immensely benefitted. The new lines will enhance business opportunities and thereby boost the local economy. With construction of three lines over the mineral rich areas of Odisha, the scope of freight movement will be created and this will boost the nearby industrial area. Consequently, new job opportunitieswill be generated for the local people. Moreover, with the new mode of transportation, medical and educational opportunities will grow in the region. The new lines will also escalate the growth and development of the backward areas of Mayurbhanj & Keonjhar districts of Odisha and East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand.
