SER ORGANISES SEMINAR on “CULTURE OF INTEGRITY FOR NATION’S PROSPERITY”
AS A PART OF OBSERVANCE OF VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK
Kolkata, 5th November, 2024:
South Eastern Railway organized a seminar on “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity” at SER Headquarters, Garden Reach on 05.11.2024. The Zonal Railway is observing Vigilance Awareness Week from 28th October to 3rd November, 2024.
Shri Anil Kumar Mishra, General Manager, S E Railway greeted the guests and officers and stated that integrity is a fundamental value that shape not only an organization but also an entire nation. Integrity is to be embraced that will direct our action and decision, fostering environment of transparency, accountability and typical behavior types.
Shri Soumitra Majumdar, Additional General Manager, S E Railway addressing the seminar said that nation’s prosperity is shaped by the promotion of integrity and that this can be done in phases, including raising awareness, sensitization, relying on integrity, practicing integrity and upholding integrity.
Shri Pradeep Gooptu, Economist, Columnist & former Resident Editor of Business Standard who was invited as Guest of Honour also underlined that integrity is a comparable term that is made by actual selection and that people evaluate viability in order to determine whether integrity is maintained for the prosperity of the country.
The Vigilance Bulletin “Maryada 2024” was released by Shri Soumitra Majumdar, Additional General Manager, South Eastern Railway, Shri Pradeep Gooptu, Guest of Honour and Shri Utpal Saha, Chief Vigilance Officer/HQ during the programme. Cultural Team of Headquarters presented two Skits to create awareness against Fake job rackets and Purchasing tickets from touts.
South Eastern Railway is observing Vigilance Awareness Week at its headquarters and all four divisions viz. Adra, Kharagpur, Chakradharpur and Ranchi. The theme of the Vigilance Awareness Week 2024 is “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity”. As per the directives of Railway Board, SER is organizing various outreach programmes like Seminar, online Quiz Competition, Poster making, competition Essay competition, Nukkad Natak, Walkathon, Vendors’ Meet etc. to raise vigilance awareness about corrupt activities and its prevention
