INTRODUCTION OF RANCHI-GORAKHPUR-RANCHI EXPRESS

Kolkata, 15th October, 2024

Shri Sanjay Seth, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Defence, Govt. of India has flagged off Ranchi - Gorakhpur Express today (15.10.2024) through Video Conferencing. Smt. Mahua Maji, Hon’ble MP, Shri C.P. Singh, Hon’ble MLA, Shri Jasmeet Singh Bindra, Divisional Railway Manager, Ranchi and other dignitaries were present at Ranchi station o­n the occasion. o­n inaugural day, the train will run as special train 08629 from Ranchi. Regular run of this train will be notified soon.

18629 Ranchi-Gorakhpur Express will leave Ranchi every Friday at 17.10 hrs and will reach Gorakhpur at 11.30 hrs, the next day. In the return direction, 18630 Gorakhpur-Ranchi Express will leave Gorakhpur every Saturday at 15.30 hrs and will arrive Ranchi at 09.25 hrs, the next day.  

The train will have o­ne first AC, two AC-2 Tier, seven AC-3 Tier, six Sleeper & four General Second class coaches and will stop at Muri, Bokaro Steel City, Chandrapura, Dhanbad, Chittaranjan, Jamtara, Madhupur, Jasidih, Jhajha, Kiul, Mokama, Patna Saheb, Patna, Patliputra, Dighwara, Chhapra, Siwan, Bhatni and Deoria Sadar.
