NEW ADDITIONAL GENERAL MANAGER
OF SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY

Sri Soumitra Majumdar has taken over the charge of Additional GeneralManager, South Eastern Railway, Garden Reach, Kolkata on 10th September, 2024. Prior to taking over the charge of Additional General Manager of South Eastern Railway, Sri Majumdar was the Principal Chief Commercial Manager, Eastern Railway. Sri Soumitra Majumdar is an officer of Indian Railways Traffic service, 1989 Exam Batch.
He has worked in various posts and in different capacities i.e. Chief Public Relations Officer, Eastern Railway & South Eastern Railway, Chief Passenger Transportation Manager & Chief Traffic Planning Manager, South Eastern Railway.
Sri Majumdar has vast knowledge and working experience in railway operations and commercial issues as well as Public Relations and Media Management of Railways. He has keen interest in sports, music, travel and social welfare activities.
