MISSION STATEMENT |

We Shall |

Protect and safeguard the Railway property, passengers area
and passengers and goods entrusted to Railways. |
|
Ensure the safety and security and boost the confidence of
the travelling public on the Indian Railways. |
|

OBJECTIVES |

We Shall |
|
Carry on an unrelenting fight against the criminals in
protecting Railway property, passengers area and passengers. |
|
Facilitate passengers safety and security by removing all
anti-social elements from the train and Railway premises. |
|
Remain vigilant in trafficking of women & children and take
appropriate action to rehabilitate destitute children found
in Railway areas. |
|
Co-operate with other Departments of Railways in improving
the effeciency and image of Indian Railways. |
|
Act as a bridge between GRP, Local Police and Railway
administration. |
|
Adopt proactively all modern technology, best human rights
practices, management techniques and special measures for
protection of female and elderly passengers and children, in
the pursuit of these objectives. |

DUTIES |
|
|
|
IT IS THE DUTIES OF EVERY SUPERIOR OFFICER AND ENROLLED
MEMBER OF THE FORCE IS TO - |
(a). |
Promptly to execute all orders lawfully issued to him by his
superior authority. |
(b). |
To protect and safeguard the Railway property, passenger
area and passengers. |
(c). |
To remove any obstruction in the movement of Railway
property or passengers area, and |
(d). |
To do any other act conducive to the better protection and
security of Railway property, passengers area and
passengers. |
