WAGON POH SHOP

1. Activities

  1. POH of all Freight rolling stocks.
  2. Rehabilitation of BOXN wagons.
  3. Up-gradation and Rehabilitation of BOXN to BOXNR wagons.
  4. Rehabilitation of BOBRN wagons.
  5. Conversion of Single Pipe Air Brake System to Twin Pipe Air Brake System.

1.

Surface wheel lathe                (3 Nos.)

Used for profiling of wheel tread.

2.

CNC vertical turning lathe      (1 No.)

Used for re-profiling of disc bore.

3.

CNC Wheel press machine (1 No.)

It is used for mounting and dismounting of wheel disc on the axle.

4.

Electric overhead traversing crane (17 Nos.)

EOT cranes are being used to lift the wagon to place on trestle for maintenance work and after POH of bogie, by EOT crane, wagon is lowered on to it.

5.

Surface traverser (3 Nos.)

Traverser is used for movement of wagons from one shop to other.
 

 

4.  Rolling stock component testing facilities available at shop: 

  •  DV Test Bench.
  •  APM Test Bench. 
  •  BMBC Test Bench. 
  •  Single Wagon Test Rig.
