Shri Anil Kumar Jain has taken over the charge of General Manager, South Eastern Railway on 9^th April, 2026.

Prior to joining S. E. Railway as General Manager, Shri Anil Kumar Jain was the Principal Chief Electrical Engineer of North Western Railway, Jaipur. Shri Jain is an IRSEE (Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers) Officer of 1990 Batch and joined Indian Railways in 1991. He served as Divisional Railway Manager, Rajkot in Western Railway from 11.08.2021 to 21.07.2023. He also worked in several key positions of Indian Railways including Chief Electrical Engineer (Planning) in North Western Railway, Principal Chief Safety Officer in South Western Railway, Chief Design Engineer (Electrical) in Banaras Locomotive Works, General Manager of Rail India Technical & Economic Service (RITES) etc.

After completing B.Tech from Vikram University, Ujjain, Shri Jain earned his M.Tech degree with Gold medal from IIT, Delhi. He also completed his MBA from Manipal University. He has undergone training programme on Heavy Haul Transport System in Japan. He is trained in Reliability Engineering as well. He also visited South Korea and Japan for finalization of design of Rolling Stock for a project of Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Ltd.
