Safety activities ..
•Carry out safety super-checks of the of installations & staff directly involved in train operation about their safe functioning through inspections.
•Organizing Safety seminars at different locations on important safety issues.
•Apprising DRM/PCSO about deficiencies in implementation of Safety measures adopted by various departments: Keep liaison with these departments for safe working of maintenance and operational practices
•Preparation and circulation of Safety circulars, instructions and circulation of safety posters and bulletins etc.
•Safety drives based on the safety environment prevailing on the Railway.
•Lunching different Public Awareness campaign to prevent accidents at UMLC .
SAFETY ACTIVITIES………
•Reporting accidents to DRM and PCSO.
•Compilation of accident statistics and analytical reviews of trends of accident and suggesting remedial measures in coordination with other departments.
•Assisting DRM ,PCSO in acceptance and review of all accident enquiry reports.
•Monitoring of DAR cases, arising out of accidents and review thereof to assess adequacy of punishment by disciplinary authority as per board's norms.
•Monitoring implementation of the recommendations of CRSs and various safety related committees.
SAFETY ACTIVITIES……
•Regular counseling & monitoring of staff involved in maintenance and operation .
•Coordination regarding preparation Division’s Disaster Management Plan & monitoring Relief and restoration etc. accordingly.
•Frequent Ambush against alcoholism to curb drunkenness.
•Ambush at Auto Territory to check the alertness of crew.
•Ensuring of preservation of clues relevant to accident investigation.
•Any other functions assigned by GM / PCSO / DRM .
•Compilation of Inspections & drives conducted by different departments & sending to HQ .
•Multi Disciplinary Team Inspection every month at a particular station for improving safety standard there.
