RAILWAY PROTECTION FORCE - being the only Force working under the Ministry of Railways, always share all responsibilities in smooth running of trains and to assist Railway Administration in smooth functioning. Accordingly, RPF has to rush for the sites of any disaster on the Railways whether it is due to accident, derailment, explosion, fire incident, natural calamities and take all necessary steps with other departments as its fundamental duties. As per guidelines of Railway Board, a Disaster Management Team of RPF in Chakradharpur Division comprising ofRPF officers and staff, has been constituted at four major stations of Chakradharpur Division i.e. at TATANAGAR, CHAKRADHARPUR, ROURKELA & JHARSUGUDA.These teams are being trained in providing necessary support for disaster management and also to play an active role in managing Law and Order at the site of disaster over Chakradharpur Division. |
