ZONAL RAILWAY TRAINING INSTITUTE, SINI


On 1st April, 1948 Bengal Nagpur Railway Staff Training School came into existence at Sini, a small village in the District of Seraikella-Kharsawan in the state of Jharkhand. The name was subsequently changed, first to Eastern Railway Staff School then to Zonal Training School, S.E.Railway, then to Zonal Training Centre, S.E.Railway respectively. Finally it got the present name Zonal Railway Training Institute, S.E.Railway, Sini. 


ZRTI, Sini is located far from the madding crowd in a small hamlet and spread over 18 Acres of land and is situated at a distance of approximately 0.5 km from Sini Railway Station, on Road. The road runs between the Institute & Hostel Cum Mess block. Sini Railway Station is located between Tatanagar and Chakradharpur R.S. on Howrah-Mumbai trunk route and is 277 km away from Howrah & 27 km from Tatanagar & 37 km away from Chakradharpur. Seraikella, the District Headquarters is only 13 km away from Sini and approachable by road only. Sini is having a small Railway locality by virtue of the Railway Establishments of ZRTI and Engineering Workshop.
