The Signal & Telecommunication Department (S&T) of Kharagpur Division is headed by the Sr. Divisional Signal & Telecommunication Engineer (Sr. DSTE/Co-ord).

Three Assistant Signal & Telecommunication Engineers (ADSTEs), posted at Panskura, Jhargram, and Balasore
The department is responsible for the planning, execution, and maintenance of all signaling and telecommunication systems across the Division.
To ensure efficiency and reliability, supervisory and maintenance staff are strategically deployed at various stations. They are directly accountable for the smooth functioning of all S&T activities, thereby ensuring safe and punctual train operations.
