Application for coach/train booking on Full Tariff Rate (FTR)

i)

                                   Procedure of booking of FTR coaches/special trains
                       Before you embark on your scheduled programme of booking a special train/coach on full                             Tariff rate (FTR), here are simple steps that you need to know.
                      1. Security Deposit cum Registration charge for Special Train/Coach

By paying Rs.50,000/-per coach by cash or Demand Draft in favour of FA& CAO/South Eastern Railwayas security deposit cum registration charge. At least 18 coaches would have to be booked for a special train as a result Rs.9,00,000/- shall have to pay as security cum registration charge for booking of special train. An additional Security deposit of Rs.10000/- per coach is valid for both special trains and special coaches where period of booking extends beyond 7 days. The above rate is subject to revision from time to time. Once the registration for an FTR coach is made, only a one time change in the date of commencement of journey within 10 days from original date will be entertained. This option of change in date should be given by party within 15 days of registration. No request for change of stock, destination, date of journey etc. will be entertained after registration.

Fare

The minimum distance of charge for special trains/coaches including Rajdhani/Shatabdi Express trains will be 500 Kms. separately for outward and return journey. The fares will be computed point to point at full adult Mail/Express fare of the concerned class on round trip basis, which means the fares shall be levied in the return direction up to the point from where the train originates. All charges should be paid in full of journey originating station, 48 hours in advance of the departure of the train, failing which it will be deemed that the running of the special train has been countermanded by the organizers. The entire registration charge cum security deposit will be forfeited in this case.

Return basic fare of 18 coaches+30% service charge on basic fare + detention charges of Rs.900.00 per hour or part thereof subject of minimum of Rs.1500/- + +4.50% for AC class coaches and First class Coaches.

Empty Haulage Charge : Empty haulage charge will be levied at actual distance of the empty haul at 100% of Full Tariff Rate ( FTR ) for the carrying capacity of the coaches subject to minimum haul for 200 Kms FTR will be calculated at fare including reservation charge but excluding service charge .

               5.

Dining car/Kitchen car/Pantry car/Generator car

This will be charged @Rs.85/- per car per Kms. uniformly for BG/MG/NG. In addition, sleeper class and service charge of Rs.30/- for marked carrying capacity of the car or actual number of passengers travelling in car whichever is more will be collected.

              6.

Charges for SLR & Luggage Van

SLR coach will be charged at carrying capacity of the sleeper class coach with sleeper class fare. However, the utilization of luggage portion to the extent of carrying capacity if SLR coach may be allowed without levying any extra charge.

             7.

Submit an application

Application must be made on plain paper addressed to Chief Passenger Transportation Manager/SouthEasternRailway/Garden Reach / Kolkata700043 at least 30 days in advance and not more than 6 months prior to commencement of journey with photo copy of money receipt i.e. security deposit cum registration fees .

             8.

Confirmation of programme

Final programme will be confirmed only after examining operation feasibility from other concerned railways.

            9.

Purchase of ticket from station Manager/ Booking Supervisor

After obtaining Tour Programme from Operating branch, the party with passengers list may approach to Booking Supervisor/Station Manager of journey commencing station at least 48 hours in advance for preparation of ticket.

          10.

Refund

The station Master of the journey originating station will grant refund of security deposit and overcharges up to 30 days, if any on completion of the tour, after deducting all due charges, including the excess detention charges. While granting refund, the station manager will ensure personally that no undercharges are pending from the party and the train has been returned to Railways in sound condition. No refund will be granted if the Folder and/or the ticket is lost or both are not deposited in original. If folder is submitted after the normal time limit of 30 days but within 6 months of completion of tour,50% of the refund of security deposit can be granted with the approval of Chief Commercial Manager. For applications submitted after expiry of time limit of 6 months, General Managers will have full powers to settle time barred claims for refund of security deposits in consultation with their Financial Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer/s (FA&CAOs). The outer time limit for entertaining such refund claims will be subject to a maximum time frame of three years.
