                                          IZZAT MONTHLY SEASON TICKETS TO PERSONS WORKING IN

 UNORGANIZED SECTOR

Izzat MST ( but not QST ) are issued to people of unorganized sectors having a monthly income not exceeding Rs 1500/- ( Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred  Only ) . These Izzat MST's will be valid only in 2nd class in all Passenger trains and those Mail / Express / Super fast / MMTS trains ( Subject to distance restriction ) in which MST s are valid on Zonal Railways and the fare of the MST s is Rs 25/- ( Rupees Twenty Five ) only inclusive of all  surcharges . The facility of Izzat monthly season tickets issued between specific stations for a maximum distance of 150 kms only.

2. These Izzat MSTs are issued on production of income certificate of the applicant from any one of the following.

i) District Magistrate

ii) Sitting Member of Parliament of Lok Sabha for persons of their own constituency.

iii) BPL Card issued by State Government or any other certificate issued by Central Government under recognized poverty alleviation programme.

iv) Union Minister may also recommend to DRMs for issue of Izzat MSTs for any persons from anywhere in the country .DRMs would then authorize the concerned Station Manager / Station Master to issue such MSTs.

v) Sitting Member of Parliament of Rajya Sabha may also recommend to the DRMs for issue of the Izzat MSTs for the persons of the district in which these MPs normally reside. DRMs would then authorize the concerned Station Manager / Station Master to issue such MSTs.

vi) The DRMs would also be empowered under exceptional circumstances to issue the income certificate.

3. The income certificate would be valid for two years from the date of issue. The income certificates issued by District Magistrate, sitting MP of Lok Sabha and DRMs would have to be on Format "A”. The letter of recommendations issued by the MPs of Rajya Sabha would have to be on Format "B" (Format A&B) are enclosed. The letter of recommendation by the Union Minister may be sent directly to the DRM (No Format "B" is required)

4. For availing Izzat MST the passengers should first obtain income income certificates from local government officials i.e. SDM / SDO / BDO / Tehsildar and thereafter obtain income certificate from the government officials as mentioned above, recommendations from Hon'ble Member of Parliament or Rajya Sabha / Union Ministers should be submitted to the DRMs. In case of IZZAT MST issued on production of income certificate from the District magistrate or on BPL card or nay other certificate issued by Central Government under a recognized poverty alleviation programme including ration cards issued to persons under “Antodaya Anna Yojomna”, Izzat MST will be issued directly on production of residence proof as given in Sl No 7 (separately income certificate from SDO / SDM / BDO / Tehsildar shall not be required in these cases) .

5. The Monthly Season tickets will be issued by the Station Master on collection of the photocopy of the income certificate and should be preserved for future reference, but at the time of issue ticket, the Original income certificate should also be inspected.

6. Since Izzat MSTs are issued only for traveling from the place of residence to the place of work, any passenger willing to procure on Izzat MST should produce any one of the following document in original for verifying and comparing the residential address of the passenger with that given in the income certificate.

i) Voter Identity Card issued by Election Commission of India

ii) Pass Port

iii) Pan Card

iv) Driving License issued by RTO

v) Ration Card

vi) Nationalized Bank Pass Book with Photograph

vii) Unique Identity Card (AADHAR)

The passenger is also require to affix his / her recent passport on the reverse of the Original Income Certificate.
