GM/SER WITNESSES SPECTACULAR “DIKSHANT PARADE” AT RPF ZONAL TRAINING INSTITUTE, KHARAGPUR

Kolkata, 18June,2015:

The passing out of “Dikshant Parade” of 107th Batch of RPF Constable Recruits was held at RPF Zonal Training Institute, Kharagpur, yesterday (17.06.2015).Shri Radhey Shyam, General Manager, South Eastern Railway graced the occasion as Chief Guest and took salute from the smart contingents of 459 new RPF Constable recruits.

Shri Radhey Shyam, GM/SER while addressing the gathering said that SER network is spread over the states of West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand.The huge railway property is required to be protected by RPF personnel with utmost sincerity and alertness.He mentioned that RPF in field units are delivering their best. Passenger security is also important aspect along with the protections of railway infrastructure and installations.

SER Security Department has already initiated some innovative measures to provide various security requirements like implementation of Integrated Security System at major stations setting up of Security Help Line at all divisional offices net working Security Control Rooms etc.GM/SER expressed happiness over the performance of Security Department for taking steps to reduce the rail crimes.General Manager urged upon all security personnel to remain mentally and physically fit and ready to serve the causes of protection and security of railways, with high level of sincerity, alacrity, agility and responsibility.

Shri S. K. Sinha, IG-cum-Chief Security Commissioner, SER presided over the valedictory function. Welcoming the General Manager and the distinguished guests Shri Sinha said that 459 new RPF constable recruits who have completed the training successfully. The have undergone all kinds of trainings and they would be able to thwart different rail crimes and would also be helpful to the passengers. They will be posted in various field units.

Shri Radhey Shyam, General Manager, S.E.Railway distributed prizes to five outstanding performers in the rigorous training courses.The prize winners are – Shri Ashutosh Kumar Singh, Shri Pawan Kumar Pandey, Shri Abhishek Kumar Yadav, Shri Semanta Badyakar and Shri Rajeev Kumar.

Shri Gautam Banerjee, Divisional Railway Manager, Kharagpur and other senior railway officers & security personnel attended the programme.Smt. Vinay Kumari Devi, President, SERWWO along with other members also attended the programme.
