SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY OBSERVES INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

 

Kolkata, 21st June, 2018:

 

South Eastern Railway observed the International Yoga Day at BNR Officers’ Club, Garden Reach this morning (21-6-2018). Sri S N Agrawal, General Manager, South Eastern Railway inaugurated the Yoga Camp while Sri Anirban Datta, Additional General Manager, Principal Head of various Departments, a large number of staff and officers joined in the Yoga Programme with great enthusiasm. Prominent yoga professionals from “Art of Living” recited the yoga hymns in the house full of silence and the magical meditation went o­n about two hours.

 

GM, S E Railway while inaugurating the Yoga Camp said that yoga is the way of living that aims towards a healthy mind in a healthy body. A man is physical, mental and spiritual being and yoga helps promote a balanced development for total wellness. Modern office life is over stressed with so many pressures and o­nly a few minutes of yoga practice makes o­ne feel rejuvenated and energized as it manages stress & anxiety and keeps o­ne relaxing. Yoga is the golden key that can unlock the door to realize and unfold o­ne’s potentiality for success in life. Yoga practicing can also enhance logical thinking, self disciplines, will power and ultimately make the person more effective in job than earlier.

 

The International Yoga Day was also observed at the Divisional Offices at Kharagpur, Adra, Chakradharpur and Ranchi in a befitting manner.
