PARLIAMENTARY STANDING COMMITTEE o­n RAILWAYS

HOLDS MEETING WITH GENERAL MANAGER

Kolkata, 4th July, 2017:

The Parliamentary Standing Committee o­n Railways  led by Sri Ram Tahal Choudhary, Hon’ble Member of Parliament chaired a High Level Meeting with the General Manager, S E Railway, Sri S N Agrawal and Principal Head of Departments at Kolkata this afternoon (04/7/2017). The meeting was held to discuss about developmental activities of railway with the specific focus o­n “Suburban Train Services” of S E Railway.

Sri Rajeev Shankarrao Satav, Sri Ramesh Kaushik, Sri Balabhadra Majhi and Sri Lakhanlal Sahu, Hon’ble Members of Parliament attended the meeting and shared their valued views and opinions about all round development of the railways, especially in passenger operations and amenities and gave suggestions for further improvement.

Hon’ble MP appreciated the efforts rendered by S E Railway about the suburban train services and mail/express trains.

Hon’ble Chairperson of this meeting said that huge passengers travel to Kolkata through suburban trains for their livelihood. He advised GM and Team SER to be extremely cautious about the safe and punctual running of trains and to provide better amenities for the travelling passengers.

General Manager, S E Railway, Sri S N Agrawal welcomed the Hon’ble Chairperson and the Members of the Committee for sparing their valuable time and suggestions for all round development of railways.
