PASSENGER INITIATIVES UNDERTAKEN BY S E R

South Eastern Railway has taken a lot of passenger friendly initiatives to improve the travel conditions of the passengers towards rail users’ satisfaction. South Eastern Railway is persistently innovating to ensure responsiveness to customers’ requirements in all its actions. During the financial year just gone by, a notable progress has been made in providing of better facilities and amenities not only in stations but also in moving mail/express, and suburban trains along with all other users of railways. The detailed passenger amenity works which have been undertaken in the year, 2016-17 are given as under:-
üAntyodaya Express between Howrah-Ernakulam introduced.
üAntyodaya Express between Tatanagar-LTT (Mumbai) introduced.
üHumsafar Express between Howrah-Yesvantpur introduced.
üSuperfast Express between Hatia-Ernakulam introduced.
üRunning of 580 Special Trains
ü4 pairs of trains provided with LHB Coaches in replacement of existing coaches.
ü83 stations have been developed as Adarsh Stations.
üJanani Seva Scheme is available in 19 major stations.
üDivyang Friendly toilets installed in 15 major stations.
üEscalators are available in 3 major stations.
üLifts available in 1 station.
üE-Catering available in 79 trains.
üPRS available in 69 locations.
üUTS-cum-PRS introduced in 75 locations.
üUTS introduced at 174 locations.
ü444 Nos. POS Machine installed.
üPaper less Mobile App Ticket Facility is available for all stations over Howrah-Medinipur, Panskura-Haldia, Santragachi-Amta and Santragachi-Shalimar Sections.
üWi-Fi facility available at Tatanagar, Kharagpur and Ranchi Station.
ü603 coaches are fitted with Bio Toilets.
