SER’S MEDICAL DEPARTMENT ORGANISES 37TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE
AND CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION PROGRAMME

Indian Railway Medical Service Association of South Eastern Railway is organizing a two-day long 37th Annual Conference & Continuing Medical Education Prorgamme (CME) with the theme “Newer Perspective in oncology” on 25th and 26th March, 2017 at BNR Auditorium near Central Hospital, Garden Reach.
Dr. Anil Kumar, Director General, Railway Health Service, Railway Board inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp while Shri Anirban Datta, Addl. General Manager, S E Railway presided over the function. Dr. Puran Mal, Chief Medical Director, S E Railway Central Hospital, Garden Reach and Patron, Indian Railways Medical Service Association, Dr. Rupa Mitra, Medical Director and other distinguished guests doctor attended the programme.
Dr. Anil Kumar, Director General, Railway Health Service, Railway Board while inaugurating the programme said that doctors in Indian Railways have been providing the quality health services to the railway people.
Shri Anirban Datta, Addl. GM, S E Railway spoke on the importance of conducting this kind of medical programme, so necessary to human survival and to improve health care as a whole through exchange of views of expert doctors on different diseases, precautions and remedies.
The main objective of holding this kind of conference and CME Programme is to provide better treatment to the patients with updated medical knowledge. As many as 150 Medical Practitioners from all over Indian Railways and State Delegates have taken part in the seminars and delivered lectures on various critical diseases.
Earlier Dr. Rupa Mitra, Medical Director, S. E R.ailway welcomed the DG, Railway Health Service, Railway Board, Addl. General Manager, S E Railway, other distinguished delegates and spoke about the speciality treatment and various medical services offered to the railway men as referral case in S.E.Railway Central Hospital, Garden Reach . Dr. Rupa Mitra urged upon the expert delegate doctors to have the benefits of the medical conference for well being of mankind.
